Keto walnut & seed bread

A yummy, non-eggy, crunchy low carb bread that will not pile on the pounds. Makes 20 slices.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 2 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup flax meal
  • 4 tbs psyllium husk powder
  • 1/3 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 3 tbs pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbs chia seeds
  • 1 tbs sesame seeds
  • 2 tbs flaxseeds
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 tbs Blyss monkfruit sweetener
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

A pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Heat oven at 155 C. Beat the egg whites with cream of tartare till peaks form.
  2. Mix all other ingredients in food processor till a soft dough forms. You can also con also combine manually with a wooden spoon or egg beater.
  3. Add the egg whites, hot water and combine. Add in walnuts and seeds and combine. Pour the final dough into a lined pan or silicon bread mold and bake for 30 min.
  4. add the whites and process the mix until everything comes together. Pour the dough in a pan lined with baking paper, then bake for half an hour.
